Designed in collaboration with M Moser Associates, the workplace is a leading example of how thoughtful, human-centric design can support hybrid work, foster inclusivity, and boost organizational performance. The renovation was driven by GSK’s commitment to health, safety, and flexibility, creating an environment that adapts to people, rather than the other way around.
As reported by Commercial Real Estate,
"The multimillion-dollar refurbishment of GSK’s inner-city Melbourne office incorporates cutting-edge features like circadian rhythm lighting and an ambient soundscaping system. Designed to accelerate connectivity with inclusivity at its core, the space includes four color-coded hot-desking zones tailored to accommodate diverse moods and neurotypes, providing an adaptable environment for all its 180 staff."
These zones are enhanced with Moodsonic’s intelligent soundscaping, providing a sound environment that responds to different activities, spaces, and neurodiverse needs. Combined with circadian lighting, biophilic design, and a hospitality-style front of house, the space was designed from the ground up to support wellbeing and performance.
The publication also highlighted how key design features contributed to the project’s success:
"Implementing neurodiverse zoning, circadian lighting, Moodsonic soundscaping and biophilia gave the company the edge up on gold certification. Air is filtered and well-ventilated too."
Feedback from staff has been overwhelmingly positive. Employees described the new office as “aesthetically beautiful,” with one team member noting that the space has helped them feel more connected and supported. Others shared how the natural elements and design choices made them feel more at ease and better able to focus throughout the day.
