Moodsonic delivers the AV industry's first fully integrated soundscaping platform for commercial spaces. The system dynamically responds to contextual inputs including noise levels, occupancy, and user control to create environments that support wellbeing, focus, and comfort.
Unlike background music, Moodsonic generates biophilic soundscapes that never loop, continuously shaping spaces that feel calm, comfortable, and easy to work or recover in.
Soundscaping is the intentional design and delivery of sound within a space to support specific outcomes—such as focus, relaxation, or comfort. Rather than masking noise with white noise or playing looped background music, soundscaping uses carefully crafted, continuously evolving audio compositions to shape how people experience a room.
Moodsonic's soundscapes are biophilic (inspired by nature), generative (never looping), and adaptive (responding to the environment in real time).
Sound masking uses broadband noise (often described as "pink noise" or "white noise") to reduce the intelligibility of speech and create acoustic privacy. While effective for privacy, masking systems are not designed to improve the quality of the acoustic experience.
Moodsonic creates immersive, calming environments through layered soundscapes that adapt in real time. The system can provide both masking benefits and an enriched acoustic experience—transforming sound from a background utility into a building amenity.
Yes. The benefits of biophilic sound and carefully designed acoustic environments are supported by peer-reviewed research in environmental psychology, workplace productivity, healthcare recovery, and education. Moodsonic's approach draws on this body of research to create soundscapes that measurably support wellbeing and performance.
We work with academic partners and industry bodies to validate outcomes in real deployments.
The Moodsonic platform consists of three main components:
Moodsonic's Soundscaping Engine runs directly on the devices in your space—not in the cloud. This architecture provides critical advantages:
Reliability: Soundscapes continue playing even if your internet connection drops or experiences latency. There's no buffering, no interruptions, and no dependence on external streaming services.
Performance: Local generation means zero latency between sensor inputs and soundscape response. The system reacts to your environment in real time.
Independence: Each device operates autonomously, ensuring consistent performance across your deployment regardless of network conditions.
Moodsonic is designed with privacy at its core:
This approach means Moodsonic can provide intelligent, sensor-responsive soundscaping without the privacy concerns associated with cloud-based audio processing.
Moodsonic adapts in real time based on:
Moodsonic soundscapes are composed of multiple audio layers—ambient beds, natural textures, harmonic elements—that are combined and varied algorithmically in real time by the on-device Soundscaping Engine. No two moments sound exactly alike.
This is fundamentally different from streaming or playing audio files:

The Moodsonic platform includes:
The Soundscaping Engine is the core software that runs on Moodsonic devices, bringing soundscapes to life in your environment. Key capabilities include:
Author is Moodsonic's internal composition tool—purpose-built for creating soundscapes designed to work in buildings.
Unlike traditional audio production, Author creates soundscapes as dynamic systems, not static recordings:
This approach is why Moodsonic's soundscapes never loop and can adapt intelligently to changing conditions—they're designed from the ground up as living systems, not recordings.
While you won't use Author yourself, the soundscapes you experience through the Control app are the result of this specialized composition process.
Moodsonic Insights aggregates acoustic data from sensors across your deployment and visualizes it through interactive dashboards. Features include:

Yes, depending on your subscription tier:
No. Moodsonic is a soundscaping software platform, not a hardware manufacturer.
Moodsonic runs on approved third-party AV infrastructure, specified for each project by Moodsonic and your integration partner. This gives projects a flexible route to generative, responsive sound without tying Moodsonic to one proprietary hardware product.
For current projects, Moodsonic uses a centralized architecture based on a Moodsonic Hub appliance. This is Moodsonic-managed software and provisioning running on an approved NUC-class mini PC, used for local soundscape generation, acoustic analysis, Dante audio, and zone control.
Hardware is supplied and installed through the local AV integration partner as part of the wider audio system. Moodsonic provides the software platform, design guidance, configuration requirements, and platform-level support.
Hardware warranty, manufacturing support, and physical replacement are handled by the relevant hardware manufacturer or supplier, usually through your integration partner.
Moodsonic provides platform-level support for software, configuration, diagnostics, and escalation through the Moodsonic platform.
Moodsonic uses per-square-foot annual subscription pricing, designed to scale predictably with building size. Hardware is priced separately and purchased through distribution partners.
Because pricing depends on your specific space—zone count, area, system architecture, and subscription tier—the best way to get an accurate estimate is to create a design for your project.
There are two ways to get an estimate:
Option 1: Design it yourself
Use our Design & Estimate tool to create a preliminary design:
Once you're happy with your design, submit it for review. Our team will validate your design, and onboard your preferred installer/integrator or recommend a trusted partner who will work with Moodsonic to provide you with an approved specification and formal quote.
Option 2: Request a design
If you'd prefer us to prepare a design for you, contact our sales team. Share your floor plans and requirements, and we'll create a system design and estimate on your behalf. We'll then onboard your preferred installer/integrator or recommend a trusted partner who will work with Moodsonic to provide you with an approved specification and formal quote.
Moodsonic offers tiered subscription plans to match different operational needs:
All tiers include full commercial usage rights for Moodsonic soundscapes.
Capabilities vary by tier. Key differences include:
The Design & Estimate tool will help you understand which tier is right for your project.
Yes. Moodsonic is the software layer. Hardware is purchased separately from the subscription, typically through our distribution partners or your AV integrator.
The Design & Estimate tool generates a hardware specification based on your floor plan and zone layout. Once you submit your design for review, we'll work with a local partner to provide a complete quote including hardware.
Moodsonic is typically installed by AV integrators or qualified installation partners. Installation involves mounting speakers and devices, running cabling (often just PoE), and commissioning the system via the Moodsonic platform.
Moodsonic devices require network connectivity (wired Ethernet, typically via PoE). For Moodsonic Powered by Bluesound Professional, each endpoint requires a single PoE network port. Network requirements will be outlined in your system design.
No special VLANs or multicast configuration is required for Moodsonic Powered by Bluesound Professional. Centralized Moodsonic Hub deployments using Dante/AES67 may have additional network requirements.
Installation time varies by project size. A single-zone deployment can often be completed in a few hours. Multi-zone installations across a floor or building typically take one to several days depending on infrastructure readiness.
Yes. Moodsonic can be installed in new construction, renovations, and existing buildings. For existing buildings with centralized PA systems, the Moodsonic Hub can integrate with your current Dante-based audio infrastructure.
Contact Moodsonic. We'll diagnose the issue, identify where it originates, and coordinate with your local partner, Bluesound Professional or other manufacturers if hardware service is required.
You don't need to determine the cause yourself — that's what we're here for.
Contact Moodsonic Support. Partners and integrators can also access support through the Partner Portal.
Moodsonic is sold and installed by AV integrators, acoustic consultants, workplace consultants, and other channel partners. We work with partners globally to design, specify, install, and support Moodsonic deployments.
